This post is long overdue!
Perhaps you've been thinking: "Alena seems like such a cool character I wonder what her game (and the series of games it's from) are like?"
I probably told you that Dragon Quest IV (the game Alena is from) was remade from its original old Nintendo Entertainment System version into a port for the Nintendo DS that could probably be found for a reasonable price in a bargain bin at any game shop.
But suppose for whatever reason you couldn't find it. In which case what is the easiest alternative? Playing the original NES version of course!
It can be done in these steps:
1. Download a NES emulator! I recommend Nestopia.
(2. Acquire an old NES copy of "Dragon Warrior 4." Flea markets or ebay can have prices as low as 1 cent. This prepares you for the next step.)
3. ?????
That's it! Note that the series back then in English-speaking countries was called "Dragon Warrior" due to trademark issues with the name. So if you search for 'Dragon Quest IV' you might be getting the Japanese version of the game. (Which might be fun if you speak Japanese.)
